Even though I originally went to school to become a studio artist, I found that I had to return to school a couple of years later to acquire technical skills in order to avoid becoming a starving artist. I've been in the graphic design field for more than a decade.

When I first became a designer, I vowed not to lose my love for the canvas. I would show my art at festivals with fellow artists, but you know, life gets in the way.

But even now, I see a project in everything.

Hand painting candle holders and hand-pouring soy candles into upcycled glass containers is the perfect marriage for me. I sketch out my candle designs on computer and in my sketchbook, then I hand-paint the designs onto the upcycled jar.

The mugs I design are hand painted as well, even though I purchase the mugs from a respected interior design company. I cover the design on each mug with a food-safe sealant so that you can drink from it without hesitation.

Creating sustainable candles and unique mugs speaks to me as a fine artist and as a graphic designer. I hope that when you look around my shop, you can see the marriage of the two in each of my creations.
